About The Core

From the East Coast comes two twenty-something-year-olds with a shared love and passion for travel, adventure, and the overall well-being of our mind and body. We are both aspiring occupational therapists who, because of our studies, have really come to understand and practice wellness.

Our Mission: To share our insight on all things health and wellness and how to manage a stress-free lifestyle even when it may not seem possible. While we are college students, we strongly feel that our advice, tips, and lifestyle are universal. Our message is for other students, professionals, and everyone in between.

So, what is this blog all about? Why are we doing this? What is it for? And what do we hope you gain from it?

Well, we are happy you asked.

As two now college seniors, we totally understand the amount of stress and pressure a student goes through every single day. We know how hard it can be to stay active, maintain a healthy diet, manage a social life, ace your tests, and most importantly, make time for yourself.

We are here to share with you some of the ways we have found to balance our life. We are not trained professionals (yet) by any means, but we are firm believers in the fact that EVERYONE deserves to live their life to the fullest (corny, we know, but so true!). Obviously imbalance in the day to day routine happens, but it is important to always come back to your core.

And we are so much more than just squats at the gym and a salad after (although as regular gym-goers, you will get some of that!). Our focus is finding what keeps you balanced. For us, it is exploring the world, making memories, having experiences, lighting lavender candles, drinking peppermint tea, studying what we love and laughing with good friends.

Our hope is that with every little piece of advice we offer and experience we share, you find inspiration. Whether it is a quote that stands out, a new coffee flavor you can’t wait to try or a tip on managing stress, we hope you are able to get out of this all the energy we are putting in.

Your core is just that. Yours. Explore it, embrace it and enjoy it.
